Why integrators choose Quest

Quest designs, manufactures and tests its loudspeakers in Melbourne, Australia. Two decades of product development have come out of a background in live concert production, and the engineering priority throughout the range is vocal intelligibility rather than raw output. In a restaurant or a retail floor, the system only works if speech cuts through crowd noise.

That priority shows up in the construction. Qi Series cabinets are marine-grade plywood with a polyurea coating and steel mesh grilles, and their horns are rotatable so a single cabinet can mount horizontally or vertically without losing pattern control. The MX weatherproof models use moulded ASA cabinets with powder-coated aluminium grilles. For Gulf projects, where heat and humidity shorten the life of lesser cabinets, that build quality is the reason the range keeps getting specified.

The range at 7HERTZ

  • Qi Series: Qi5, Qi8, Qi10, Qi12, Qi15 and Qi25 two-way installation loudspeakers for interiors, from small fill to main system.
  • Qi8E and Qi12E: weatherproof variants for covered outdoor areas and terraces.
  • Qi12S and Qi18S subwoofers: low-frequency extension for hospitality and multi-purpose rooms.
  • MX Series: MX4, MX6 and MX8 compact weatherproof cabinets, with MX4C and MX6C ceiling models and the MX6S and MX10S compact subwoofers for distributed systems.

Where it fits

Hospitality and retail fit-outs across the Gulf: restaurants, hotels, gyms, showrooms and multi-purpose venues. Anywhere the system needs to disappear into the ceiling, survive the climate, and deliver background music and paging without a specialist on site.

Buying Quest in the UAE and GCC

On a fit-out programme a delayed speaker order holds up a handover date, which is why we hold regional stock on the models that move fastest. As official distributor we provide system design, amplifier matching, zoning and commissioning from Dubai, with manufacturer warranty handled locally.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a Quest system cost?
We quote against a system design, because the amplifier, zoning and cabinet count all move together. Send us a floor plan or a description of the space and we will come back with a system and a figure.
What is the difference between the Qi and MX Series?
Qi is the interior installation range, from 5-inch through 15-inch models plus subwoofers, for rooms where you need output and coverage. MX is the compact and weatherproof range, including ceiling models, for distributed systems and covered outdoor areas.
Are Quest loudspeakers suitable for outdoor use in the Gulf climate?
The Qi8E and Qi12E use marine-grade plywood with a UV-resistant polyurea coating and stainless steel grilles, rated IP55. The MX weatherproof models use moulded ASA cabinets rated IP55, or IP65 with the supplied connector cover. Both are intended for covered outdoor areas such as terraces and poolsides. For fully exposed positions, tell us the location and we will confirm what is appropriate.
Which amplifiers should I use with Quest loudspeakers?
We specify the amplifier and DSP settings as part of the system design, so the loudspeakers and amplification are properly matched. Where a project standard requires a particular amplifier brand, we work to that. Ask us for the amplifier schedule with your system design.
Can Quest systems handle background music and paging together?
Yes. The Qi and MX ranges are widely used in hospitality and retail for zoned background music with speech paging priority. We design the zoning and priority logic as part of the system.
Do you hold stock in the region?
Yes. We hold regional stock on the models that move fastest on fit-out projects, which matters when a handover date depends on delivery. Contact us to confirm current availability.
Do you provide installation and commissioning?
Yes. Our team provides system design, installation support, tuning and commissioning across the region.
What warranty comes with Quest products?
Full manufacturer warranty, handled regionally by 7HERTZ as official distributor.
