Studio plugins, on a box built to tour

Fourier Audio is a UK company, acquired by DiGiCo in October 2023 and now part of the Audiotonix group. Its first product, the transform.engine, answered a question live engineers had been asking for years: how do you run studio-grade plugins in a live rig without a laptop you do not trust?

The answer is a 2U touring-grade server with dual redundant power supplies, connected over Dante, running VST3 and CLAP plugins. The part that matters is the sandbox. Each plugin is ring-fenced from the others, so if one crashes the rest of the mix carries on and the failed plugin restarts by itself. The design won a PLASA Innovation Award, and it is the reason engineers will put plugins in the main path rather than just on effects sends.

The range at 7HERTZ

  • transform.engine: the 2U Dante-connected plugin server, controlled from a Windows or macOS client with plugin interfaces sent over the network at low latency. On DiGiCo Quantum consoles, plugins can be viewed and controlled from the desk's own touchscreens and console snapshots sync to the engine.
  • transform.go: the compact, portable sibling for smaller rigs where the full 2U frame is more than the job needs.
  • transform.suite: a curated plugin licence bundle, so a system arrives ready to work rather than needing a separate procurement exercise for every processor.

Where it fits

Touring, festivals, broadcast and high-end houses of worship. Anywhere an engineer has a studio chain they trust and wants it live without the reliability compromise.

Buying Fourier Audio in the UAE and GCC

As official distributor we supply, configure and support transform systems from Dubai, including integration with DiGiCo Quantum consoles. We also run transform workflows as part of our masterclass programme, so your engineers arrive at the first show already knowing the system.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a transform.engine cost?
Pricing depends on the model and whether you need a plugin licence bundle with it. Contact us with your application and we will quote the complete system.
What does the transform.engine actually do?
It runs studio VST3 and CLAP plugins on a dedicated Dante-connected server, so live engineers can use studio processing without a laptop in the signal path. Control is from a Windows or macOS application, with plugin interfaces sent over the network.
What happens if a plugin crashes during a show?
Each plugin runs in its own sandbox, ring-fenced from the others. If one fails, the rest of the system is unaffected and the transform.engine restarts the failed plugin automatically. This is the core of the design and the reason it is trusted in the main path.
Does it only work with DiGiCo consoles?
No. It connects over Dante and works with effectively any professional digital console. Integration with DiGiCo Quantum goes further, with plugin control on the desk's touchscreens and snapshot syncing, but it is not a requirement.
What is the difference between transform.engine and transform.go?
transform.engine is the 2U rackmount server with dual redundant power supplies, built for touring. transform.go is the compact portable version for smaller rigs and lighter applications.
Do I need to buy plugins separately?
You can use VST3 or CLAP plugins you already own, or start with the transform.suite licence bundle so the system arrives ready to use. We can advise on what suits your workflow and what you already have licences for.
Can we get training on it?
Yes. We run transform workflows as part of our masterclass programme in Dubai, often alongside DiGiCo Quantum sessions. New dates are announced on our Education page.
What warranty and support do I get?
Full manufacturer warranty with regional technical support from our Dubai team, as official distributor for the Middle East and Gulf.
