Technical Specifications

Audio Path

A true balanced mic preamp, drawn from Sound Devices' 8-Series mixers, gives the input stage significant headroom and low noise compared to earlier transmitters in the line. Gain is set entirely downstream at the mixer or receiver, so there's nothing to adjust on the transmitter itself once it's deployed.

Connectivity

The Lemo input handles two- or three-wire lavs, balanced mic and line signals, AES3 and AES42 digital sources, and guitar when paired with the optional Smart Guitar Cable. This lets one transmitter cover multiple roles across a rig instead of carrying several dedicated units.

Battery and Build

Runtime reaches up to 12 hours depending on battery type and RF settings, with support for standard AA cells or rechargeable lithium-ion batteries charged in place over USB-C. A physically removable, user-programmable switch is available for productions that need a manual control on the transmitter itself.

Applications

Suited to production sound, live music, theatre, and broadcast productions that need one transmitter to handle several different source types.
