Technical Specifications

Audio Path

At its core is a Lundahl LL1540 transformer, chosen for handling the balanced-to-unbalanced conversion with minimal added distortion across a wide frequency range. The idea is that any colouration in the signal chain should come from the amp and pedals, not from the interface carrying the signal to them.

Connectivity

A direction switch lets the box run either way, XLR in to 1/4-inch out, or 1/4-inch in to XLR out, so it can also be used to keep a pedalboard-to-amp run fully balanced over a long distance. This flexibility makes it useful on both sides of a wireless guitar rig.

Applications

Built for touring guitar and bass rigs, house of worship stage setups, and any production running an Astral wireless guitar system where amps or pedalboards sit some distance from the receiver.
