The Astral ARX8 is the smallest receiver in the Astral line, built for bag work and other setups where every ounce and inch counts. It starts at four channels and scales to eight through software licensing, without any added hardware, and docks tool-free with compatible 8-Series mixer-recorders.

RF Performance

A global tuning range and onboard spectrum analyser make it possible to find open frequencies quickly, even in busy RF environments. NexLink gives long-range remote control of paired transmitters directly from the receiver.

Connectivity

Output runs through a single DB-25 connector carrying up to eight channels of mic, line, or AES audio, keeping cabling simple for a bag or small cart rig. A front-panel USB-A port supports transmitter pairing, timecode syncing, and file transfer.

Control and Workflow

A 6.2-inch touchscreen handles setup and monitoring on the fly. Cascade-out BNCs allow linking multiple ARX8 units together for larger channel counts.
