Immersive Processing

Running on the same FPGA-based mixing core as KLANG's standalone processors, the card generates up to 16 immersive two-channel mixes from up to 64 input channels, at a processing latency of roughly a quarter of a millisecond. Any audio channel on the host console can be routed to the card and the finished mix returned to the console's aux merge input, and Root-Intensity EQ is available on each mix.

Console Integration

Because DMI-KLANG plugs into a standard DMI slot, it draws directly on the console's internal audio stream and slots into the normal mixing workflow via the DiGiCo KLANG console link, so engineers keep using their usual snapshots, faders, and knobs while gaining immersive in-ear mixing. It uses the same DMI slot format as the DiGiCo DMI-DANTE card, so it is a straightforward addition to consoles already fitted with a Dante DMI card, and it can also be installed inside a KLANG:konductor chassis for additional processing capacity.

Applications

DiGiCo console owners in live touring, house of worship, theatre, and broadcast who want native immersive in-ear mixing without adding a separate outboard processor.
