The POLAR 12 MK2 is an all-in-one active column PA system that combines a 12" subwoofer, a passive column mid/high array, and a built-in mixer into a single portable rig. System Configuration

The system ships as three pieces: an active subwoofer with a 12-inch driver in a bass reflex cabinet, a spacer, and a column loaded with six 3-inch cone speakers plus a 1-inch compression driver on a constant-directivity horn. The column delivers a 120 x 30 degree dispersion pattern, and the larger sub extends the low end down to 35 Hz (-10 dB).

Mixer and Control

An integrated mixer accepts two XLR/jack combo mic-or-line inputs, a 1/4-inch instrument input and a stereo RCA input, with an XLR mix output and phantom power for condenser microphones. The DSP runs at 24-bit/44.1 kHz with 2 ms latency and offers presets, five storable user presets, delay, a 3-band EQ and a semi-parametric mid band, controlled via a dimmable LCD. Bluetooth 5.0 with True Wireless Stereo links two POLAR systems for stereo playback, and a USB-C port charges mobile devices.

Build and Portability

The subwoofer cabinet is plywood, while the column uses an aluminium housing, powder-coated black or white, with a steel front grille backed by acoustic foam. A subwoofer protection cover and a transport bag for the column are included.
