Driver Configuration and Dispersion
Ten 3-inch broadband drivers are arranged in a line array within a closed cabinet, with no internal crossover network required. The line arrangement gives a narrow, symmetrical 5 degree vertical dispersion paired with a wide 100 degree horizontal spread, which keeps speech transmission index high over distance and pairs naturally with the SI SERIES P10j for rooms needing asymmetrical downward coverage.
Certifications and Outdoor Suitability
The P10i is IP66-rated for dust and jet-water protection, ball-impact certified to DIN 18032-3, and certified to EN 54-24:2008 (Type B, outdoor) for use in voice alarm systems, letting a single speaker cover both everyday sound reinforcement and life-safety announcement duties. Cabinets are birch plywood with a 2-component textured coating, offered in over 30 catalogue colours plus an optional PU coating for unroofed outdoor installation.
Amplification and DSP Compatibility
As a passive design, the P10i needs external amplification. HK Audio documents presets for Lab.Gruppen's IPX, IPD, and Lake platforms, Powersoft Armonia+, and a QSC Q-SYS filter container, so it integrates directly with control platforms already common in permanent installs.
Applications
Long-throw speech and voice-alarm coverage for large indoor spaces, outdoor installations, and venues with demanding acoustics such as houses of worship and transit facilities.
