Driver Configuration

A single high-excursion 15-inch neodymium driver sits in a rigidly braced, tuned enclosure engineered to minimise unwanted panel resonance while extracting maximum bass extension from a single-driver design.

Build and Mounting

Multi-laminate birch plywood construction carries an impact- and weather-resistant polyurethane finish (black or white standard, RAL and outdoor options available), two flush bar handles, rubber feet with stacking recesses, an M20 pole adapter, and 16 M10 rigging points for both temporary and permanent installs. A tour-grade castor set is included as standard, along with a pair of Neutrik speakON NL4 connectors.

Amplifier Compatibility

The S-15 needs external active high/low-pass filtering and a single amplifier channel. EM Acoustics' Advanced System Amplifiers are recommended, though other DSP-enabled or externally processed amplifiers work with the published filter settings; the driving channel should deliver 1000-1600W RMS into 8 ohms. For cardioid arrays, the rear-firing subwoofers need a separate amplifier channel due to the different processing involved.

Applications

Core low-frequency support for corporate and AV systems, houses of worship, and theatre, especially suited to the EMS-81X, EMS-101X and EMS-126 full-range loudspeakers.
