Driver Configuration
A single 12-inch high-excursion driver sits in a compact, vented enclosure tuned for smooth low-frequency rolloff and extended bass response, giving the box significant output relative to its footprint.
Build and Mounting
Built from 15mm multi-laminate birch plywood with an impact- and weather-resistant polyurethane finish (black or white standard, RAL and outdoor options available), the enclosure carries 14 M10 threaded fixings across its top, bottom, sides and rear for rigging and safeties, plus a flush bar handle, M20 polemount fitting, and stacking-friendly feet. A pair of Neutrik speakON NL4 connectors handle input and enclosure link.
Amplifier Compatibility
The S-12 needs external active high/low-pass filtering and a single amplifier channel. EM Acoustics' Advanced System Amplifiers are recommended, though other DSP-enabled or externally processed amplifiers work with the published filter settings; the driving channel should deliver 1000-1400W RMS into 8 ohms.

Compact live sound reinforcement and space-restricted installations in cafes, bars, and small venues, a natural companion to the EMS-41, EMS-51, EMS-61, EMS-81X, and the Reference Series R5.
