Driver Configuration

Twin 8-inch neodymium LF drivers pair with the same 4-inch/2.5-inch coaxial MF/HF compression driver used in the R10, keeping voicing consistent across the two models. That coaxial driver feeds one of two interchangeable waveguides derived from the same research programme as the R10's.

Waveguide and Dispersion

A 110 x 50 degree wide pattern and an 80 x 50 degree narrow pattern are both supplied, letting the box switch coverage with a mechanical change plus an amplifier preset. The fitted waveguide and its orientation are identifiable without pulling the grille.

Build and Mounting

Bracing technology carried over from EM Acoustics' HALO series keeps the birch-plywood enclosure rigid while staying light. The impact- and weather-resistant polyurethane finish comes in black or white as standard, with RAL and outdoor options available. Handle placement, threaded rigging points and a quick-release keyhole flying plate round out the mechanical package.

Amplifier Compatibility

Amplifier-agnostic by design, with EM Acoustics' DQ Advanced System Amplifiers and the Di20 installation amplifier recommended; per-channel loading is documented for each.
