The R12 pushes the Reference Series to its highest-output point, carrying the detail and transparency of the R10 into a larger platform built for concert touring, nightlife, and other jobs that call for serious headroom from a point-source box.

Driver Configuration

A pair of 12-inch neodymium LF drivers is matched to the same 4-inch/2.5-inch coaxial MF/HF compression driver used in the R10, so the tonal signature stays consistent right across the range even at this larger scale.

Waveguide and Dispersion

Both a 110 x 50 degree wide waveguide and an 80 x 50 degree narrow waveguide are supplied as standard, changeable in minutes alongside an amplifier preset. The fitted pattern and orientation stay visible without removing the grille.

Build and Mounting

HALO-derived bracing keeps the birch-plywood enclosure rigid at this larger size while managing weight. The polyurethane finish is impact- and weather-resistant, available in black or white as standard with RAL and outdoor options on request. Handle placement, threaded rigging points and a quick-release keyhole flying plate handle rigging duties.

Amplifier Compatibility

Amplifier-agnostic by design, with EM Acoustics' DQ10, DQ20 and Di20 amplifiers recommended; per-channel loading is documented for each.
