Drivers and Dispersion

A coaxially-mounted 4-inch low-frequency transducer and 0.85-inch high-frequency compression driver share a single acoustic centre, giving even, phase-coherent coverage across an 80 degree conical pattern. The infinite-baffle enclosure design smooths the low-frequency roll-off and extends bass response beyond what a box this size would normally deliver.

Cabinet and Rigging

The enclosure is built from multi-laminate birch plywood with curved, trapezoidal sides, finished in an impact- and weather-resistant textured polyurethane in black or white as standard, with RAL colour matching available on request. Three M8 rigging points are built into the top, bottom, and rear panels, and the unit ships with an adjustable horizontal mounting yoke; a wall-mount bracket is available as an accessory.

Amplification and Processing

The EMS-41 is a single-channel load requiring 150-250W RMS into 12 ohms. As a true passive design it needs no active DSP, though EM Acoustics recommends external high-pass and limiter protection when driven from its Advanced System Amplifier range.

Applications

Near-field and background sound reinforcement for hospitality, retail, corporate AV, and theatrical fill, delay, and spot-effect use.
