The EMS-126 is a 12-inch full-range loudspeaker and the update to EM Acoustics' long-running EMS-122, sharing the same footprint and flying hardware while carrying newer drivers and cabinet internals. It is built for mobile and permanently installed rigs alike, and can be extended with an S-15, S-215, or S-18 subwoofer where more low end is needed.

Drivers and Dispersion

A 12-inch neodymium low-frequency driver is coupled to a 3-inch diaphragm, 1.4-inch exit compression driver on a rotatable 60 x 40 degree constant-directivity waveguide. The narrower horn and the multi-angle enclosure allow the box to double as a stage monitor when needed.

Cabinet and Rigging

The cabinet is built from multi-laminate birch plywood, finished in impact- and weather-resistant textured polyurethane in black or white as standard, with RAL colour matching and enhanced weather protection available. A flush bar handle, 35mm polemount socket, and OmniMount/Powerdrive-compatible threaded fixings are built in, protected by a stainless steel grille.

Amplification and Processing

A single amplifier channel delivering 750-1000W RMS into 8 ohms is required. The EMS-126 is fully passive, needing no active DSP for correct operation, though external high-pass filtering and limiting is recommended for protection when run from EM Acoustics' Advanced System Amplifiers.

Full-range front-of-house and fill reinforcement for live sound, theatre, corporate AV, and sports-venue installations.
