Technical Specifications

Drivers and Dispersion

A 3-inch voice-coil, 10-inch low-frequency transducer is coupled to a 1-inch exit neodymium high-frequency driver on a rotatable 90 x 60 degree constant-coverage horn, delivering consistent response across the coverage pattern and strong off-axis attenuation for predictable venue coverage.

Cabinet and Rigging

The vented enclosure is built from 15mm multi-laminate birch plywood, heavily braced against panel resonance, and finished in impact- and weather-resistant textured polyurethane. Rigging points include five M8 threaded fixings, four M6 OmniMount/Powerdrive-compatible points, a 35mm polemount socket, and a flush rear handle.

Amplification and Processing

The EMS-101X requires a single amplifier channel capable of 800-1000W RMS into 8 ohms. As a passive design it needs no active DSP for normal operation, though external high-pass and limiter protection is advised, ideally via EM Acoustics' Advanced System Amplifiers.

Applications

Small front-of-house, fill, and stage-monitor duty for theatre, corporate AV, and themed-attraction installations.
