Cardioid Design
Two drivers face opposite directions inside their own braced, ported chambers, a front-firing 15-inch and a rear-firing 12-inch, linked through a passive crossover network rather than the bandpass-and-delay tricks some cardioid subs rely on. That network alone delivers over 20dB of rear rejection while running from a single amplifier channel, which is the real differentiator here: no second processed channel, no extra DSP overhead, just one feed doing the work of a conventional dual-channel active cardioid array.
Driver Configuration
Both the 15-inch front driver and the 12-inch rear driver are neodymium units engineered for linearity at high excursion, so output stays consistent right through the operating envelope rather than tailing off under load.
Build and Mounting
Birch-plywood construction with an impact- and weather-resistant polyurethane finish (black or white standard, RAL and outdoor options available) houses four flush bar handles, protective underside skids, and twenty M10 flying points across two quick-release keyhole flyplates. An M20 pole adapter and dual Neutrik speakON NLT4 connectors are fitted as standard, with the connectors' spare contact pair allowing subs and full-range boxes to share a single 4-core run.
Amplifier Compatibility
The CS15 is essentially amplifier-agnostic, needing only a single DSP-capable channel for its high/low-pass filters and limiters. EM Acoustics' Advanced System Amplifiers are the reference recommendation, but third-party DSP-enabled amps or conventional amps with external DSP also work with EM Acoustics' published filter settings; the driving channel should deliver 1000-1600W RMS into 6 ohms.
