Rack Configuration and Connectivity
The SD-Nano Rack is a 2-slot input and output rack, with each slot accepting either an input or an output card. In a digital configuration it runs up to 16 inputs and 16 outputs, and with analogue cards it provides 16 inputs or 16 outputs, or 8 inputs and 8 outputs. It is available only as an optically connected rack, with an Optocore interface in HMA, OpticalCON or ST connectivity and an upgrade to SingleMode. A word clock I/O BNC and a USB Type B port for firmware updates and DiGiCo Control software complete the connections, and the software also lets the rack run as a standalone device without a DiGiCo console.
Build and Mounting
An ultra-compact 2U rack-mountable design measuring 482.6 x 442.5 x 88.1mm and weighing 9kg, with two redundant internal power supplies. Cards are hot-swappable and automatically identified and configured, a front LCD menu screen flashes between white and green so a healthy sync can be seen from a distance, and locked controls prevent accidental setting changes.
Signal Processing and Compatibility
Based on the same Stealth FPGA technology as the SD-Range consoles, the SD-Nano offers high-resolution A/D conversion with DiGiCo’s Gain Tracking and an internal oscillator. Up to 14 DiGiCo I/O racks can run on a single optical loop, or 28 on a dual loop. Compatible cards include 32-bit mic pre-amp, 32-bit DAC, ADC and DAC, AES/EBU I/O, AES-42, Dante, ADAT, SDI and Aviom. Cards are sold separately, and this model is supplied unloaded with HMA optics.

A compact stage box for installations and live shows alike, where several small racks are distributed around a stage or building, whether paired with an SD console or used as a standalone rack.
