Control Surface
A single 17-inch, 1000-nit high-brightness multitouch screen carries the meter bridge and soft quick-select buttons. 41 individual TFT LCDs display channel information, metering, bank data and macros. The surface holds 25 x 100mm touch-sensitive motorised faders, two banks of 12 plus a dedicated user-assignable master fader with high-resolution metering.
The Mounting Bracket
The Quantum 225's distinguishing feature is a customisable left worksurface. The mounting bracket accepts a laptop for creative control, a KLANG:kontroller for immersive mixing, or a second screen, which can display the KLANG app, a plugin computer, the console overview, or the channel screen for the left fader bank, effectively turning the 225 into a dual-screen console.
I/O and Connectivity
Local I/O covers 8 analogue inputs, 8 analogue outputs and 2 AES I/O (4 channels). Two redundant MADI in/out at 48kHz can be reconfigured as 4 MADI I/O, or 2 MADI I/O at 96kHz with full channel counts. Optocore is optional as single or dual loops (504 channels and up to 14 racks per loop). A 48-channel UBMADI interface is built into the engine for USB recording and playback from any laptop. Two dedicated DMI slots each add 64 x 64 I/O, and Waves SoundGrid connectivity is available as an option for a further 64 x 64.
Processing
Mustard Processing channel strips (24), Spice Rack native FPGA processing (6 mono / 3 stereo), 32 Nodal Processors and True Solo are included as standard.
Audio Performance
Internal processing runs up to 40-bit floating point with 24-bit A/D and D/A conversion. Processing delay is 2ms at 48kHz and 1ms at 96kHz. Frequency response from mic in to line out is plus/minus 0.25dB across 20Hz to 20kHz, THD+N stays under 0.003%, channel separation exceeds 100dB at 10kHz, and EIN is better than -127dBu A-weighted. Maximum input and output level is +22dBu.

Dimensions are 1124mm wide by 801mm deep by 436mm high, weighing 43kg (138kg in flightcase). Power draw is 100V to 240V, 50 to 60Hz, 255VA.
