Amplification and Power
Four channels of 700W Class-D amplification run on APEX's GlidePath direct-drive topology, DC-coupling DSP and amplifier stages to reduce distortion and time offset compared with AC-coupled designs, with True Cone Excursion management to limit mechanical wear on connected speakers. The CP704D drives low-impedance loads directly or 70V/100V constant-voltage lines.
Networking and Control
A 4-input Dante module is fitted as standard, supporting 48/96kHz networks with switchable or redundant primary/secondary ports and AES67 compatibility, so the CP704D can share a network with other Dante/AES67 equipment we supply, including DiGiCo consoles, KLANG processors, DirectOut converters, and Sound Devices Astral wireless receivers. Configuration runs through the browser-based IntelliCloud WebUI over the amplifier's built-in WiFi hotspot or a wired LAN connection, with cloud access available for remote site management.
DSP and Processing
A 64-bit fixed-point DSP engine handles a flexible routing matrix, per-channel and per-group gain/delay/polarity control, 12-band parametric EQ (16 filter types) at the user, group, and speaker-preset stages, HP/LP crossover filters (Bessel, Butterworth, Linkwitz-Riley, 6-48 dB/oct), 768-tap FIR filtering per channel, and peak/RMS limiting.

Suited to mid-size restaurants and hospitality venues, houses of worship, retail flagships, and other installed sound projects that need networked, mid-power amplification with full DSP control.
