At the Bio Research Institute, we feel strongly about high quality audio. The quality and reliability of audio in computers vary radically, so we have taken charge of the biofeedback audio to avoid such nonsense. The Bio Integrator system supports a high performance 24 bit tone generator. This device is capable of not only producing wonderful tones from the Bio Integrator, but can also act as a mixer for audio you may be using simultaneously with biofeedback, such as an MP3, DVD, etc. When outputted to quality speakers, you can provide an audio envelope that greatly enhances the feedback and learning model.
All audio choices can be turned on and off or altered on-the-fly, whenever you choose.
24 bit Wave table synthesis sound
60 voices to choose from
Stepped feedback range, from 36 tones down to 1 tone
Analog feedback - continuously varying pitch
Up to 4 variables with separate voices may be singing simultaneously
Voices can be assigned in real-time to any of the 80 physiological variables
0-15 steps of smoothing can be applied to any physiological variable
Major and minor chords
2, 3, or 4 note chords
User-adjustable volume
Audio support for Left and Right Channel & mono
Multiple tones and alarms
Audio Automatically Fades
Down
The Bio Integrator automatically knows when the end of the session is about to
occur. This neat feature is particularly useful when working with clients in low
arousal training.
Voice Qualities Features
Normal, Beep, or Beep Continuous are choices in a pop-up box
under Voice Qualities called Style. With Normal, you hear the pitch of
voice you have chosen going up or down the scale in steps or in analog. You choose how
many tones you want to hear within the activity range you have set. With Beep or Beep Continuous, the voice you have chosen beeps when the
client is within the audio range you have set, and the beeping speeds up or
slows down as the measure goes up or down.
Chromatic Range
You have three choices under Chromatic Range: One Octave, Two Octaves, and
Three Octaves. In Three Octaves, you have the standard tonal range for the Bio Integrator. The
other two choices permit you to adjust the range to suit the goal of training.
These choices are helpful for low
arousal training, where the desired range of activity is quite narrow and the
traditional three-octave range can provide distracting and disturbing variations
when the high tones sound.
Offset
You can choose to make the pitch range lower or higher; that is, you can change
the pitch of the bottom (lowest) feedback tone, which moves the entire range up
or down.
